On the second of October 2011 a wildfire blazed a path though the island very close to where I live. I was a crown fire which devastated all living things in its path. I spent the next 6 months documenting the regeneration of the forest. This was one of the most interesting experiences I have ever had. The resilience of the forest not to mention the colours within it kept me mesmerised. The images of the fire over the water were from a fuel reduction fire in May of 2012. The vision of the flames over water was another unique experience which I feel lucky to have seen.
