The Fire Walker

After a wildfire raced through this forest in 2011, I spent a lot of time walking through the area photographing the regeneration of the forest. On the day after the fire I walked around for the entire day and saw several snakes, bandicoots and possums which had been overcome from the heat.
While I was sitting down for a rest this Dingo approached the area and after looking at me he smelt the air and obviously picked up the scent of an animal that had been overcome from the fire. Off he trotted and found his meal.
